Bulgaria's Vice President Iliana Iotova has met with members of the News Agencies World Council (NACO), who gathered in Sofia for their sixth meeting. Iliana Iotova said it is important that the media spread unbiased and objective news. “There is a great need in the news reflecting the reality at the modern stage. Fake news can negatively affect the whole society, economy and social life.”

The News Agencies World Council (NACO) has convened a meeting in Sofia. Organized by the Bulgarian news agency BTA, the meeting focused on preparations for the 6th News Agencies World Congress to be held in Sofia in 2019, and several organizational issues. Participants in the meeting included heads and representatives of NACO member agencies AZERTAC, Press Association, Associated Press, TASS, EFE, BTA, as well as secretaries general of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA) and European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA).

News Agencies World Council (NACO) has convened a meeting in London. Participants in the event included heads and representatives of AZERTAC, Press Association, Reuters, Associated Press, TASS, BTA, KUNA and EFE news agencies, as well as secretaries general of the Federation of Arab News Agencies and the European Alliance of News Agencies. President of the News Agencies World Council, CEO of Press Association Clive Marshal hailed the organization of the 5th News Agencies World Congress in Baku last November.
